I checked the Haynes manual for the Avensis, and  the automatic transmission fluid replacement is shown as every 40,000 miles. I also found this which covers a lot of Toyota and Lexus models and engines - https://www.toyota-tech.eu/MaintenanceSchedules/avensis/Final.pdf
The PDF contains all the information which be may helpful.

There is no general information regarding the chain, but regular oil and filter changes are very helpful. If you do lots of stop, start and short journeys, I would go to every 6 months.

Depending on the distance and how hard the engine has worked, the chain may or may not wear and stretch over time. If it stretches to much, the engine may not run well and the EML may light - sensors measure both cam and crank timing!
