Right,

Its summer time, and the car needs to look at its best

Being a yaris, its prone to chips

The bonnet has some on it, the bottom part of the bumper and some up the sides.

when i was working during A-levels at BMW, we used to pay chips away £30 per panel to de-chip

Obviously not that price at retail, but any advice

Cheers

I have heard that Chipsaway are good.. I am also looking for a decent chip removal person(s) to fix up my baby... as inevitably there is a nasty chip on her nose and a couple of scratches on the bumpers.. one.. admittedly my fault.. but another some evil whate van man's doing!! grrrr :censor:

So anyone know of any good ones?...

I dont wanna have to fork out shed loads.. but I want her looking special again :)

Well, I've heard good things about Chipsaway and their website makes impressive claims but when I called them the guy came around, took one look at my car and said "Sorry, I can't do that. I wouldn't be able to guarantee you wouldn't still see the scratch".

Apparently it's because my car is painted in what he called a "low hiding" paint. For that read 'it's very thin and quite clear, like nail varnish!'.

Depends on the colour of your car and the paint used so the only way to check it out is to get them to look at your car. They'll do a quote for free.

I need to get these boys round to look at mine, do they charge per chip or per panel?

Bonnet looks like an extra from an episode of the A-Team....

Not sure. I think it's per chip/scratch.

I know the feeling!

I dont see the point!

let them build up for a bit and then when it gets really bad, have the bonnet resprayed! its far cheaper and easier and if you get it done properly, it wont be done in cheap thin nasty paint that Toyota use!
