Just wondering, whats the biggest speaker size I will be able to fit in the front dash, and in the front 2 doors of the car, and do they require extensive wiring or do you just slip the wiring connectors from the door over the connectors on the new Speakers?

Thanks,

Will.

can get 8cm in the dash, but 10cm r betta, coz the 8s will b more expensive, eg:

>>> 8cm 110w max 25w RMS = £55

>>> 10cm 110w max 25w RMS = £40

I have put 120mm Focal Speakers in my front doors and they fitted fine. I cut the old Speakers out and cut all the bits off the bracket that were sticking out so the new Speakers would fit in fine. I used silicone to mount the speakers on the orginial brackets (which saves money and still sounds amazing). To get the brackets and speakers out you have to drill out the rivets. Make sure your speakers will fit in your door so you can close the windows....my friend found that the hard way (HEHE). If i was you i would run some new wires as the wires run to the original speakers are crap as hell!!! Use an old coathanger to pull the wires from the dash to the door through the rubber so they cant be seen when you open the doors. With the focals you get a crossover to connect the tweeters and speaker to and i put the crossovers so they cant be seen under the dash where they wont be kicked/seen. I wouldnt bother with new dash speakers as you can put your tweeters on top of the grills for the dash speakers to give very good sound. But I would say get some 6x9s on your rear shelf as these are nice and of course you need a sub!!!

Good luck with your soundsystem and you will be pleased!

added 170mm infinity kappas in the door using the celica door pod (£14.99)

but more importantly - check the depth size, mine is 60mm i think or 62mm ....

doubt u can get anymore than that ...

I have replaced the original door Speakers with Pioneer 2-way 6 1/2 " Speakers in front doors (same size as original). But the dash Speakers are still the original 4" speakers. Bigger speakers will certainly add more vibration in the doors and dash.

Cheers
