Rear shock replacement

Hi all when removing rear shocks do I have to drop the anti roll bar drop links to gain access to the lower shock bolt and is there a problem compressing spring straight because of alignment between shock and spring also how can you get a torque wrench on when I need to put an Allen bolt on to stop it spinning and also when replaced do you put lock tight on treads or grease just a few questions before I jump into tackle this project myself cheers

I think they are different on the older ones, I've just replaced both my rear shock on my 2011 tourer, was a pretty simple job but the shocks are separate to the springs.
