What's this?

Can someone please tell me what the smoky brown perspex panel (facing upwards) is on the dashboard below the speedometer cluster. It doesn't appear to serve any purpose.

There is a projector in there, which projects your speedo image onto the dash that you can see. If you switch the car on and step outside, look down through the windscreen and you should be able to see it.

Failing that, use a small mirror to see.

Cover it up and you'll see the display disappear.

The HUD display may well be switched OFF at the moment
