Yaris Passenger Airbag On or Off.

Although the key switch on the inner door frame depicts that the passenger side air bag is on, when the ignition is initially activated the warning light on the dash board states " Passenger Airbag Off". Recently had the latest recall re: airbag completed, but worried if the passenger airbag is activated. Advice appreciated.

Contact the dealer who did the recall work and get them to check the car.

Are you sure it's not a bulb check? Mine lights up like a Christmas tree when I first switch on.

Does the Airbag Off warning stay illuminated permanently or just come on/off when starting the car?

Thank you for the replies members. It does  go on and off when starting the car, so guess it is a bulb self checker ( Doooh! ). Thanks again for all your help.
