Hi, I have a carbureted '95 Corolla.

Some time ago the electric choke was sticking, it was fixed and the car reved fine when cold-starting. No problems.

3 days ago the problem started again. I checked the choke but seems to be working, the flap is closed when cold and starts opening it's way when getting warm, but the car wont rev up and engine will die. I can move the flap when cold and it will do the spring-return action but with no changes in engine speed.

Any clues ??

Ok fixed it!

The two wires from the choke were in short.

Everything's working fine.
