New Avensis S.r

Was in a dealer during a service and started talking to one of the sales people commenting on the lack of a sports model in the New Avensis range, he said there are plans but it wont be for a while, quite a while actually. He seems to think it will be branded SR as the originals. The only detail he let me in on is that it will be a 2.4 vvt-i as apposed to a 2.0.

Sounds like a quick car! And if styling goes well with it should be quite nice.

Has anybody else picked up on anything?

You mean it's possible to put a new body on the same chassis ???

Looks like someones drive the new Avensis into a wall !!

As far as i know the new avensis won't have the 2.4 vvt-i engine for europe. its built at burnaston for export to japan only and will come in two different styles 2wd and 4wd.
