It's just one of the compromises of steering. The outside wheel is always trying to turn faster than the inside when turning. So a car uses CV joints and steering geometry to try to combat tyre scrubbing, and keep the rubber in contact with the road.

This will never be perfect, but manufacturers have managed to dial out most of the problems associated with turning two connected wheels on the same axel.

I hear it all the time in our local multi-storey and some car brands are worse than others. Don't forget your IQ has a tighter turning circle than most cars, so the tyre scrubbing will be exacerbated at the extremes of turning.

hi guys, I'vejust bought an IQ and been having problems when turning, it feelslike it's dragging one side on the ground when turning and in a straight, the car warbles as if the tires are not tight. it'sreally not fun, anyone got any ideas. Cheers
