Louder Without Cherry Bomb?

I've heard that any yaris/vitz/echo exhaust system becomes significantly louder if the resonator is replaced with a straight-through pipe, can anyone confirm this? I think I saw this on echofans.net, but quite a while back...

also youll loose stacks if not all back preasure, loose low end torque and not accelerate

id only recommend this sort of thing if you had a whopping great turbo bolted on

Sure mate, I had my exhaust installed but I was not satisfied with the noise...the 1.0L was not giving the angry shout. So I had the resonator ( the front one) replaced by a straight through pipe and I got a fantastic sound...a sporty one. I was advised by a mechanic/silencer expert. If you want pics of this mod, I can send it to u.

Best of luck
