Auris 2008 (58) 2.0 D4D issues

Hi All,

i am new to this forum and am having sever issues with my Toyota Auris (58 plate) 2.0 D4D and was wondering if anybody could help me.. 

the problems I currently have are listed below:

Car is smoking a lot (black smoke) in every gear when revs are not high

Car struggles to start up on cold engine

Car is going through a lot of engine oil (plus there is smoke coming from dipstick hole when car is running)

Car is making a constant knocking noise (injector possibly)

the car has done 111,000 miles if that helps..

anybody have any any idea what is going on?

Check PCV valve.

In the "old" days I would say possible problem with A) injectors and,or B) worm piston rings 

With all the "new fangle" stuff on engines it could be a mutitued of things I suppose.
