Rear brake pipes and rear outer lower arm rubber joint

Hi Everyone,

Time marches on and my 06 2.0 1AFD needs work before next year's MOT, specifically the brake pipes have corrosion near the flexible union at both rears, and one of the rear rubber joints has slight play on the outer lower suspension arm. Has anyone done either of these before and can offer any tips and/or guidance on them? I want to decide whether to do them myself or farm them out. The MOT tester today said I should cut the pipes and flar/join to a new section rather than fit complete new front to rear, and he also said that the rear joint wasn't the easiest to fit without the correct pullers and drifts. I'll acquire any necessary tools for the job if I do it myself, but any knowledge from the members here would be gratefully received.

Cheers
Ian
