I've only just noticed this but has probably been like it since I've owned it but my bonnet is slightly to one side even though it closes on the catch so I'm a bit lost. It's not bent or anything just to one side but it must of been like it from factory as it doesn't wiggle either way?

You can see the gap difference on the light one the last photo is not as big as the other side. It's not that obvious as no one else has noticed i have after having it for 3/4 of a year. Any idea?

Hi,

It might have had a knock or a panel replaced at some time,  as long as it steers in a straight line and does not pull to one side or have uneven tyre wear, probably nothing to worry about, just the old thing,  you know its there so you will always notice it, but no ones else does...

You can probably re-align it if it annoys you.  Either the striker pin (attached to the bonnet) or the hole the pin goes into will have some adjustment.

The bonnet doesn't wobble when it's up if you try to pull it the other way it's solid. It's definitely had the side skirts off at soke point so might have had work done etc. It doesn't bother me and my tyres seem to wear on the outside at  front but that's probably the tracking that needs doing.

It may well have had a bump before I owned it but it's in mint condition for its age so I doubt anyone would notice.

Looks OK no obvious problems it's only slightly off center if you look at the car front on you can see it's a little to one way but not enough to notice it much it still follows the shape of the car etc and not off enough to be bad.

Suppose it's not doing any harm and not worth the hassle of sorting. Goes like stink for an old car especially a diesel.

Just seen a video on another car with these adjustable rubber or plastic screw things that the bonnet rests on and can adjust height of them so will see if mine has them. Could be a case of one side being slightly higher and making it appear that way. Either way if not it's no big deal.
