Fuel Gauge holding steady on 7 bars...

I had my rear drums adjusted over the weekend as the handbrake was getting a bit high, but on Monday I noticed the fuel gauge wasn't quite right... IIRC it was on 5 or 6 blocks (Depending on slope!) out of 8 before I had it done, but now it's on 7! Each block is ~5 litres I think so that's pretty out now.

I figured maybe the fuel had gotten sloshed about or something when they jacked the car up and it'd settle itself, but it's still like this - It should be on 4 blocks by now!!

I know my Yaris D4D is smugly frugal but even it can't do near-350 miles on 5 litres of diesel!

I'm going to fill it up tomorrow and see if that resets it, but does anyone have any other suggestions of stuff I should check/try/do before I take it to the garage to get fobbed off?
