Getting annoyed now, my speaker wire from my Speakers on the back shelf is hanging!

Iv tried using the good old duck tape, but it doesnt work :o It falls off after a few days.

Iv tried an ordinary stapler, but that didnt work.

Any1 any suggestions? I have two ideads but jus wana c how you people have done it! My two ideas are:

1) using tack type things that you would use for phone wire

2) getting black ICE carpet and pinning it to the underside of shelf!

i duck taped the wire to the underneath of the other speaker and then tightened it and ran it under the body after that

i used a staple gun only prob at the moment is that my speaker wire is flat so one of the staples has gone thru the wire and now even on the slightest volume is causes my amp to cut out. would have sorted it but it started rainin. gonna av to wait till sat now

Well I used the orignal parcel shelf and stuck some thick mdf on undearneath. I have then used a staple gun to secure the wires.....and it has been like that for about 3months now and I havnt lost a single staple so seems like the best option to me. Although soon I am going to get a stealth shelf so I dont have to worry about where I park my car.

Hi there!

I tried to post this from work earlier, but the sat link went down :-(

Why don't you staple zip/cable ties to the bottom of your parcel shelf (at 90 degrees to the path of your speaker cables). You then put the wires in and tighten up the cable/zip ties and the little sods should be kept in place without you piercing the wires. If you leave the cable ties a bit loose then you'll be able to route other cables through then too at some point in the future.

I knew I'd studied product design for some reason!

Cheers,

Alan
