Hey all,

Right.... Bugs.... evil little thigns that love to dive bomb your beautiful car and make a nasty mess (esp when on the M'way!) I scrub and scrub and still they do not budge...

What are your secrets?.. :hokus-pokus: .. have you any?...is there a way we can scrape the foul beings from our bodywork?

get a bug pad from a car shop its like a sponge with a fine cotton mesh around it works well,

just do it everyday and keep on top of it then there easy to remove,

i was advised at the weekend its best to do in the mornings when its damp and dews on the car they come off real easy then

Karcher washers are the best

Try and use the one with the diesal boiler which heats the water as well and so gives an even better clean as it is better at removing bugs, etc. I usually use it at 60C and the car comes up perfect every time. Although on a side not these karchers are quite expensive but worth it, my step dad knew some1 who knew some1 so he saved £350 on it which was cool.

That's actually called a steam cleaner - my Dad's got one for cleaning his trucks and machinery.

They make a really good job, but you have to be careful that they don't start to take the paint off if you become a bit over-zealous.

The problem with Dad's is that it's at the far end on his muddy yard, so the car's even dirtier by the time you get it back to the bare tarmac!
