Does anyone know if an MR2 engine (3sgte) will fit in a AE86 corolla? What is needed for the procedure?

hmm toughie this one..to be honest if you wanted a tubo Ae86 you miht well be better off starting with a 4Agze and turboing that...a 3sgte would be to heavy in mo opion...

Thans for the reply, I just figured the 3S would build more horse power then the 4AG. My brother is telling me it can be done but that would invlove importing an Alteza tranny or another FR car with that motor. Thanks alot for the help though.

yep has been done a few times. weight isnt realy an issue i have no probs with the rolla's handling just traction

Someone in our club dropped one into an AE92, so it should fit in an AE86.

Thanks for the info. Did you have to make custom motor mounts to put the motor in?
