Oil Service

Hi I just wondered if anyone could advise me on the correct oil to use on my IQ. I'm going to service it this weekend at work. It had 0/20 full synth from it's 1st service from Toyota but last year when I phoned up my parts supplier they said it took 5/30 (LL, full synth) which I ended up using. Should I put 0/20 back in it this service (50,000 miles) or stick with 5/30?? Auto Data says either or so not entirely sure which is the best case of action.

Any help appreciated

Rich

Toyota's preferred oil is 0W-20 meeting API SL, SM,or SN. No stipulation as to semi or fully synthetic.

I've always used 5W30 Castrol GTX Magnatec in my 1.33 iQ which is a semi synthetic oil.

Always worked a treat, nice and quiet on start up and not noticed any loss in performance or fuel consumption so I'll stick with it.

Craig.

Hi thanks for the replies. Put 0/20 full syth in as that's what was originally put by the dealer. :-)

I have used 0/20 and it works fine - its more expensive than 5-30 but is the recommended oil from Toyotya as first choice.
