My wife's 2007 Toyota Auris continues to have condensation problems in the rear. Affecting the boot and rear light clusters.
Any advice?

Any water in the spare wheel well?

There is certainly enough condensation that, if left, will amount to a small puddle in the wheel well, yes.

Condensation is usually caused by something being wet.  On my previous Avensis there are vents at the sides of the boot, behind the boot trim, and level with the bumper.  The seals failed, and water is thrown up by the wheels when driving, and also runs down from the top when raining.  The bottom 'well' of the quarter panels were pooled with water, and eventually overflowed into the spare wheel well.  The same problem occured in a family member's Ford Focus.  Other suggestions are the seals around the rear lights, or the boot seal.

That's very helpful, thank you alan333. I'll check those vents and, if need be, seal and relocate them. The lenses have already been resealed.

strip all the carpet out of the boot and side panels then give the car a good spray of water from the hose ,

removing the panels will make it easier to see any water leaks.

if you find the light seals have started to fail you could buy some of these sheets of self adhesive rubber

and make a gasket to go around the light aperture in the body by adding this the original light seal will be pressed

against the body and create a tighter seal.
