Hello,

I have a 60 plate 1.0 Iq. Do I need a caliper piston wind back tool to replace rear brake pads (as you do on the Auris)?

Thanks.

I have replaced the brake pads on my 1.33 version and simply pushed the pistons back into the caliper. Can't imagine 1.0 versions are any different.

Thanks for reply.

Was it the rear pads you changed?

When I did our Auris, I had to borrow a wind back tool due to the way the handbrake functions. You may well be right that IQ has simpler set up. Cheers.

Well, getting a bit confused here now.

I did change all pads on my car and I definitely only pushed the pistons back into place but looking at the brake section of the manual it suggests a tool to turn the pistons?

Hello. Thanks for responding.

Any idea where I can get the manual you posted a section of? And any thoughts about the tool?

Cheers.
