Manuals

Hi

Just got a new (brand new second hand anyway) Celica, it's an '86 GT Auto Coupe got lots of buttons, ***** only knows what they do, but I do like anything with 'Overdrive'written on it! anyhooo...

Just tried to buy a Haynes book of 'fitting is the reversal of removal' lies and it would appear that they don't make one for the Celica - Bugger.

Does anyone know of any online manuals or anywhere I can get a hold of other brands of workshop manuals for tis classic piece of '80s metal.

Many thanks in anticipation

Mellow

Try Amazon.com. I have an st182 celica and Haynes don't do a manual for that model. It's for a left hand drive model but as you probably know that makes no difference. :D

I know your problem. I just bought a 1991 Celica 2.0i, and it seems the only Haynes manuals available are for the US model.

Everyone knows that Haynes books are a pain in the backside, but at least they give you some information on how to get started on things. "The driveshaft will slide out through the space above the wishbone". Right enough, it will, after an hour of twisting and turning. That was my fave in the Scirocco book.

Anyhow, I seem to recall seeing a Haynes book advertised on eBay in the last few days that might do for your one ... certainly it was an earlier model than mine.

Cheers,

There is a post somewhere on this forum from a guy who has the manuals for most Toyota's if you trawl through the archives I'm sure you'll find it.

The information is on here somewhere :D
