Hi ,having to change the flexible pipe from filler pipe to tank ,do I need to have an empty tank ??thanks for any info Jeff

I've changed many tank/filler tubes on different cars over the years... depends how badly the pipe has degraded (i.e disintergrating), can you get to both ends of the filler pipe without dropping the tank?  The main thing you DON'T want to do is get any crud inside your tank... that will just open up a whole new can of worms that you won't want to deal with!  If in doubt I would drop the tank off.  Try and blank off the fuel pipe and return pipe if there is one to save it back draining fuel and getting to much air in the pipe.  As I say... DON'T get any crud in the tank or fuel lines.  Good luck.
