There is one that goes round near me... what was the thinking towards that then?.. was the designer stoned?

Looks like a Nissan Serena people carrier with a massive 4x4 conversion.. seen a few for sale and they are selling as a 'day van' that sleeps 2. Madness!

Its annoying when designers say "innovation" and actually are copying other brand models like we never realize of that!!!!

IE new Honda Accord tail and the tail of my Corona, look the same!!!(gees, hate that!)

Check this out

I hate those 4x4 poeple carrier things! :ffs: It's the ugly love child of a Fake 4x4 and a people carrier.

And what is it with those bull-bars? I thought they were now illegal in the UK.

I think they're pretty cool. Contrary to what's been said before, they're not actually fake 4x4s as they sit on the same chassis & runng gear at the Shogun/Pajero so - height and length aside - they should actually be pretty good in the rough stuff.

Where they don't make quite so much sense is central Bangkok where I first saw them.

I like the integrated fridge/hotbox between the front seats...

Coyote, we've got a better looking Accord than you guys.

Cheers,

A

Nope, only illegal for Manufacturers to fit them. If you got one in your garage or the car was built b4 current legislation - perfectly legal. Never understood this law. Surely the front end of a car hitting you is as dangerous as a bar hitting you!?

not really, a bonnet and bumper will absorb some of the impact and crumple

the bleedin great RSJ on the front of them is solid steel/alloy tubing, thats doesnt crumple and shatters bones!

And bull bars are often just the right height to plow into a small childs head!

BTW whats the fuel economy on these things like?

Dont forget that bull bars are designed to just protect your vehicle from 'stray animals'.. thats most of the pedestrians in my area then!

You can even get plastic ones that crumble under impact.

My dads Hilux has massive black bull bars and a metal box where the winch shold go.. got help anyone who gets in the way!.. Bull bars put your insurance up by loads.

But getting back to the car... I wouldn't buy one.

Its nowhere near as ugly as the Chrysler Voyager though. I see loads of these milling around the local schools. Man they're hideous cars.
