2008 Yaris SR - stereo

My SR came with the built-in TomTom which to be fair had no bearing on me choosing it and I have no real need or great desire to use.  Not least because thus far I can't stop it rebooting constantly in the car and my PC won't recognise when it's connected.

Of course what I initially didn't realise was that it was supposed to work the hands-free (also not massively fussed about needing/using) and the music.  I already have a lead for my iPod in the car, which works via the power socket and a vacant radio frequency, give or take a bit of interference sometimes when driving along.  What I can't work out is how to set the 'mini' car stereo to my chosen frequency - the car manual is useless because it's so generic as to relate more to my old Yaris than this one.  I can see there are 3 presets and that I can change those stations but can't see how to then set them.  In the old one, it was a long-press on the number but of course in this there are no numbers on the dash (I presume the TomTom would do this if only it would work).   I guess I just want to know if it's possible or not; it's not the end of the world but it's a faff if the radio wanders off station and I'm trying to relocate it whilst driving!  I've read up on the TomTom issues quite a bit since picking the car up at the weekend and haven't found any ringing endorsements that makes me want to fork out more money to get it sorted.

Is it the TomTom TNS410? The only way I've found to save radio stations is to long hold on the preset numbers on the full screen, once it's switched to show radio mode rather than the map.
