Hi!

If someone can help me here to point out where the problem could be located i would be very thankfull.

I have a toyota corolla from 2002. And sometimes when i am slowing down/pushing the break or gassing up. The lights on the dashboard flickers and the gauges go for at split second down to 0, and then up again. The car lights and ect. are ale running without ani interference. I think i can sense that the engine is causing the flicker, because it can feel like the engin flickers a little while this happens. The problem only appears occacionally, however it happens more and more. But seemes to happen less when the engine has been running for a while and the motor is hot.

- The OBDII only gives me aa P042 code, that i am going to get fixed next week.

I added a video of the case here.

See my thread regarding Corolla running faults , is it possible the car has a bad earth some where ???

Electrical problems similar to what your having does seem like bad connections, most commonly bad earths. Their are some in the engine bay near the struct tower areas. Under the dash above the pedals there is also some earths on a metal bar that could be worth checking if they are loose but highly unlikely. If not then further investigations will be needed of either the cluster unit or getting a automotive electrician involved. Wouldn't be a bad idea to check your alternator also.
