Mkii 2011 Ignition and remote locking issue

Hi all. Something funny has happened to my car which I was wondering if anyone here can help me with. One of the headlight bulbs blew recently and I thought I may as well change both whilst I had the top half of the bumper off. That part was done fine earlier today, no issues with the lights. I just went out now and noticed that the integrated sat nav was still on (this used to turn off automatically). Unlocked the car with the remote fob and noticed that the dash cam was still powered on too via the cigarette socket. Turned the Ignition on and off and all the other lights would go as they normally do except the cigarette socket and sat nav would remain on. Disconnected these two and tried locking the car remotely but now the remote locking doesn't work?

Would I be risking further damage if I disconnected and reconnected the Battery?

Not sure what's going on with it. I switched the lights on and off a few times when changing the bulbs (can't remember if ignition was on but key was in). If anyone can shed any light (pardon the pun) I'd be grateful.

Is the illumination to the Speedo display etc going off or are any of the lights / illumination staying on?

Speedo lights up as it should, no issues there. No erroneous lights on the display either. I'm wondering if it's the lightbulbs doing something to the circuitry? I still have the old good bulb. I'm going to fish out the bad bulb from the bin tomorrow and wire both back in to see if that helps but I doubt it.

I switched off the sat nav unit last night and also disconnected the dash cam from the power socket. Woke up today morning to a flat Battery regardless. 😔. Worst time of year for this to happen.

Sorry,  are all the dash lights off with the ignition off and out of the barrel, look for any lights staying on or faintly flickering.

Ahh I've got you. All dash lights are off when the ignition is off and key is out of the barrel. The only things that stay on as far as I can tell are the satnav/radio and the 12v power socket for the Dashcam and phone charger.

Update:

Everything seems to have returned to 'normal' now. I have it a good thrashing over the motorway last night to charge the Battery up which seems to have helped (car had been stood for 2 weeks prior to this whole issue). Today the stereo turned off as it should, as did the power socket upon switching the car off. Family members were giving me funny looks when I was surprised by this. Touch wood it stays functional.
