All issues I've had so far owning a 2.0 d4d

Thought I'd share a list of problems I've had so far in owning this car (soon to be going to the scrapyard). 

So far Ive had issues with a lot of things. 2 calipers seized up and had them replaced one wheel bearing has gone. 

My paintwork has gone from nice to absolute sh*t in a matter of 3 months white polka dots everywhere starting to peel so complete clearcut failure which I see as pretty poor as my older cars prior have been fine and much older than this one. 

The price of parts is ludicrous for what they are. 

My gearbox doesn't want to go In reverse anymore have to keep lifting and depressing clutch until it goes but no clutch judder or slipping so could be issue with the gearbox itself. 

So at the moment I'm debating how much petrol I need inside the car to make a nice bonfire. 

The car has cost me more than 1.5k in 8 months now if I had half the car repainted roof bits above windows the front bumper rear bumper and rear quarters before it goes to waste that would be 500 at least. 

To look at either the clutch or gearbox whatever causing the reverse issue the clutch and flywheel are over 1k fitted which is a joke. 

So I'm thinking maybe Toyota are not what they were earlier on in there years of the celicas and supra but actually useless and extortionate.

Any 11, going on 12, year old car may have issues, some of which may have been present or hidden by the previous owner or the seller. That's one of the pitfalls of buying used cars, regardless of the manufacturer.

Not as many as these though all prior cars have been older solid gearbox solid paint etc etc. Never had so many issues off a car. Ive managed to source someone who can do all the paint for 350 work looks very good from what I've seen and doesn't make you pay up front pay after so seems very good. 

But I don't wanna spend the money if my gearbox is shot or the clutch :( I like the car it's lovely but comes with lots of issues.
