ABS ball ache

Clutching at straws on this one really, but the car developed a fault exactly like a reluctor ring failure. The whole shaft was replaced many months ago complete with new ring on the suspected side (readings where a little iffy) but it didn't sort the fault. Another mate who runs a busy independent garage is stumped on it too as the readings on all three other corners are fine.

Still I can give you the symptoms - pulling up to a low speed stop (congested traffic and anticipated slowing down), the ABS kicks in just before you stop. Lights up on the dashboard and classic reluctor ring failure symptoms.

Gary is still waiting to hear back from his mate at the Toyota garage but I fear no pointers will be forthcoming.

Fortunately this is not an MOT failure and the car passed again just before Christmas with no advisories.

Any genuine pointers would be gratefully received as it is !Removed! annoying.
