Mirror indicator removal tips

Hi all.

My wife's wing mirror got hit, breaking the indicator glass and cover. I bought a full unit off eBay but im not sure if the indicator unit comes out. I know you can buy that part alone from Toyota so im sure it does, but it isnt obvious how to do it. Any ideas?

Managed to dislodge mine a few times on the garage door frame.

"If I'm correct they will come out by removing the mirror glass first (push all the way up, then unhook gently with hands from the bottom--search in the forum) and the cover's clips should be visible/accessible from there (the inside of the shell)."

...and...

"I managed to get it all sorted. I popped the mirror off and that allowed me access to the cover tabs on the inside and so it came off without a hitch."
