Have I Made The Right Choice ?

This will be my first company car, after pulling my hair out as to which car to get I've opted for the Avensis T spirit D4D.

Still waiting for my delivery date :ffs:

As usual with forums it's generally the people with a problem that are asking for help, so reading through the posts makes the avensis look like a problem car, I know this is not the case but how many are out there that are happy with their choice?

any comments would be appreciated...... either way good or bad.

Does anyone know what Sat Nav version comes with this car, no colour upgrade.

Thanks in advance

oops

I should add that I'm not a very high milage driver 20k a year, mostly motorway

Steve, I've got an 52 model with Sat/Nav & Traffic Management best car I've ever had & I've had a few. I've had no problems & the Sat/Nav is great use it all the time. In my job I get to drive a lot of new cars, my boss has had 4 Jags everyone had problems and not impressed with the customer care, we've tried Audi good car, BMW X5, SAAB, Honda CRV and a new 2'0 Avensis Estate the Sat/Nav was in colour I liked it that's why I bought Avensis and no regrets. Afraid my boss went for Honda Accord Executive been back to Honda at least 4 times replaced the DVD for the 3rd time, we only had delivery of it in March this year, parts take ages to arrive. Me personally not impressed.

Hope it works out for you. I reckon you've made the right choice.

John

Hi Steve

IMHO so far as car chice goes, Toyota is up there with the most reliable of the manufacturers. Of course there will be the odd individual car with build problems, but usually its the owner. Cars are like dogs - the well cared for ones rarely bite. By this I mean sympathetic driving (let the oil warm, no sharp acceleration/braking/wash it once in a while) but most importantly service it regulalry. You'd be amazed at the number of cars I've fixed which have gone 20 - 30 k and not been seen by a mechanic. Most servicing theses days is checks - find a problem early enough - cheap and easy to fix. Leave it, and you'll be fixing it on the side of the M6 on a cold and rainy night

And if you can get a bronze coulored one - that way in 2 or 3 years when it comes up secondhand I'll be able to buy a cheap but reliable car !

Cheers

Barry H

Thanks for the reply,

My car will be serviced by my local main dealer, because I wont be the one paying the service bill :D

sorry to let you down but :P Bronze was my second choice, I've opted for the Metal Silver,

Came close to buying an Avensis Diesel for my company car....but only because the dealer was trying to sell me one instead of the Prius I really wanted.

Bought the Prius instead. Just passed 10k miles. Great car.

Smaller boot than Avensis but more rear leg room. In fact, the Prius had more leg room than all the rep-mobiles we tried.

Anyway, Avensis is a nice car....
