i wondered if anyone had dropped the rear prop to see if mpg went up as i don't need 4wd in summer 2.0vvti . i have asked a dealer in herts if there would be a problem and he seamed to think it might upset the speed sensors on each wheel and it might light up the ABS in the dash???

anyone tried it???

Wouldn't you need to lock off the transfer box or something?? Surely the centre diff would just allow the empty shaft to spin and you would go nowhere just like if you take a driveshaft out of a 2 wheel drive car(unless it has a limited slip differential). Other than that I dont see that it would upset the ABS since that works on sensors on the wheel hubs. The wheels will turn wether they are driven or not
