Prius Servicing

I had my 2016 Toyota Prius Hybrid Excel serviced free last year (July 2016) by taking advantage of the "Free servicing offer with Toyota Hybrids" published on the following website :-

http://blog.toyota.co.uk/toyota-hybrid-free-servicing

The original terms and conditions of this offer quoted :-

"The offer of THREE years servicing applies to qualifying retail customers only. It is limited to Toyota hybrid models ordered by 30 June 2016 and registered by 30 September 2016.

The servicing  offer consists of the first three services carried out in accordance with Toyota's servicing schedule - every 12 months or 10,000 miles, which ever is the sooner - and must be redeemed at an official Toyota service outlet. Wear parts are excluded."

Now when you log on to the web page it quotes :-

"The offer of TWO YEARS free servicing applies to qualifying retail customers only who are purchasing Toyota hybrid models.

The servicing offer consists of the first two services carried out in accordance with Toyota's servicing schedule - every 12 months or 10,000 miles, which ever is the sooner - and must be redeemed at an official Toyota service outlet. Wear parts are not included."

I hope that this helps some of you.

I printed out the original offer and showed it to my dealer when they called my car in for servicing, I don't think they were aware of the offer but copied my printout and honoured the offer.

Needless to say it is stored with my service book ready for the next two years servicing!!!

Just had the first years service carried out on our 2017 Gen 4 Business edition. . I have a 3 year service plan. The service just undertaken was charged to the service plan.

I have only just found out about the first two years free servicing offer. I rang the dealers service department and spoke to the service manager. He stated he knew nothing about the free service offer and it should have been set up by the salesman who sold me the car. The service manager. has passed my message onto the sales manager. I am now awaiting a reply.

I think I do qualify for the 2 years free service. However at the bottom of the Toyota blog it states it only applies to participating Toyota Service Centres. How do you find out if your dealer is participating?

If you are just having your first service & it's a 2017 year car as your profile I would suggest that your car wasn't registered by 30th September 2016 which apparently was in  the terms & conditions of the offer going by the original post?

I just rang the sales team. they are looking into it.  From what you have said Heidfirst  I do not qualify for the free services as it is a 2017 car.

I have phoned sales team back and apologised for contacting them. At least it is sorted out and I am not dipping out on free servicing.
