DPF & DMF

Hi Guys 

just wondered if the DPF filter and the DMF were both covered under the original manufacturers warranty,

and also if the Toyota extended warranty covers them as well.

just wondered as both these things can go due to the way the vehicle is used

The answer for both warranties is yes so long as the failure is manufacturing defect and not due to wear and tare

Just be aware that if something does go wrong, the burden of proof is on YOU - You will have to pay Toyota to remove and inspect the clutch and flywheel and they will basically charge you what it would cost to replace a clutch and flywheel.

If it is then found that it is not wear, then you *might* get your money back if the dealership can successfully apply for it to be covered under warranty. In my experience, dealership quality varies quite wildly, with some being excellent while others being awful.
