Tyre Size

Hi all,

Does anybody know what tyre sizes can be used on the T Sport?

I am aware the factory tyre size for the T Sport is 195/55/R16, but that takes a lot of choice out of better quality tyres.

I recently used Toyo Proxes T1R but was dissapointed with them, especially in the wet. 

I want to get all round Pilot Sport 4s, but am not sure what size will fit my original alloys with no issues, because as far as I am aware, they don't make these in 195/55/R16.

Black Circles displays a second option of 205/55/R16. Camskill do the Pilot Sport 4s in this size, but with 91W instead of 91V.

You can run 205's fine. I have 205/55/16 Dunlop BluResposne Sport tyres. I was also looking pilot sports but they are a bit pricey

Are you still putting in the same amount of air?

 

Also, has it affected your speedo much?

Speedo is only affected by the height of the tyre (which is the 55 part of the numbers) not the width. You should be grand.

The 55 is a percentage, not a measurement, so the 205s will be slightly bigger than the 195s, but since it's such a small difference it should be within the limits.
