04 avensis won't turn over

Hi just bought a 2004 T2 1.8 petrol.

Only got 1 key so got new one tried yest to programme immobilizer I think Battery was low so charged all night and attached jump leads from another car now engine won't turn over at all got all dash, lights, radio etc can hear click behind dash but nothing else just noticed new key more pointy than old one have I broke switch barrel with new key is there anything I can do to prove this eg. Bypass switch to starter motor ???
