Hi everyone,

I have just signed up so I am as new as you can get.

We own 2 Toyotas presently a Hiace van and a Corolla Verso .(we owned a Previa VVTi 2001 before).

We are planning to buy an 8 seater, but have not decided whether we should get an Estima Mk 3 2.4 or a Honda StepWGN 2.4.( or possibly Honda Elyson 2.4)

They both do 4WD, but the Estima is a switchable 4WD while the Steppy/Elyson is permanent therefore using tires on all fours.

Could anyone put us in the picture which is the one to go for please...

I read that Estimas  can suffer from steering rack knocking and the 2.4 engines can suffer from oil leaks after about 70 000 miles...

I also want to avoid CVT transmission, as they are belt driven, which I think is inferior to chain driven auto boxes, so any advice on this topic would also be much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance
