Discontinued Parts

Hi all

I am new to this site but have some information that may be of assistance to owners of a Gen 6 Celica Convertible.

Recently I required to renew the trim on the back of the rear seat that holds the tonneau cover in place when the top is down.  I approached my local Toyota Parts guy and shock horror he tells me the part is discontinued.  I tried a number of Toyota sites and forums to see if I could locate the part and was unsuccessful.

Almost ready to give up I was contacted by a guy in the nest town who said he could make one for me.  It was successful and the part is now fitted.  The original Toyota part number is 64793-0W010.

I realise that we are on the other side of the world from most of you but with shipping the way it is these days getting one to you would be no problem.  I say this because if anyone needs this particular part he will make it and ship it to you.

His contact details are; Aaron Lovelace, Techmedics, 60 Hilton Street, Kaiapoi, Canterbury, New Zealand.  Phone +64 3 327 7180.  His website is; www.techmedics.co.nz

I have attached some photos of the car and the part in question.

Cheers

Kieran
