Need a bit of guidance here folks.

Corolla VVTi-T3 1.6 (2002) - Electric windows ALL stopped working but the motors all work.

Some say that it's window the regulators that have failed  but I find it hard to believe that all four regulators have died at the same time.

In preparation I have searched for regulators but there seem to be loadsa different ones out there so I have no idea which is the right one.

My friendly mechanic said that the Toyota dealer was unwilling to provide him with the regulator part number.

Hi,

Agree it would seem unlikely for all four regulators to fail together,  unless you have been doing something unusual to the electrics ?

All of the regulators are controlled by the window switch panel which has its own power line via the 10A gauge fuse, is power getting to that.

The other thing is to check an earth wire/connection is not broken.

What happen is you feed power /control directly to the regulators/motors ?

I know you say All the Motors, but you have not been fooled by the  Window Lock Switch which cuts power to all but the drivers door ?

I'm just wondering if the window lock switch has failed or is a bit dodgy. Try pushing it on and off a few times.

Superb OldCodger,

Many thanks for that.

Held up by a massive cold just now but will check through the points you have raised.

Cheers fordulike,

Tried that but no go.

Minor surgery on driver's door innards to follow per my reply to OldCodger a few mins ago.
