Fly by wire/ throttle response

This never happen with our 07 yaris it got traded in, £30 road tax now. This is mostly first thing when cold, when accelerating when you clutch to change gear its like you have clutched before taking your foot off the gas and seems to rev as if it was a poor gear change. I know there's no accelerator cable as such just a switch what your foot pedal moves, has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to rectify it, or is it a character of the newer car, 2011 1.3 T spirit.

My 2006 Corolla, 2009 Auris and 2012 Auris were the same. Soon got used to it with the Corolla, and didn't notice it with either of the two Auris.
