CD Radio Display

Hi Chaps New boy here, need to pick ya brains, the audio display on my 1998 Rav4 Freesport has an annoying little fault. The CD and radio work fine however where the display used to show the CD track number or the radio channel, it now shows words like "Hallo Hello Ciao" and "Panasonic Power" and others. The model, as far as I can tell, is Panasonic TM4411. I don't know why this problem as started but it aint half annoying. Has anyone come across this before? any idea how to sort this? Dave
