avensis rear axle hanging off apparently??

hands up egg on my face here after thorough pressure wash and getting to the last bolt removal of part i was very surprised to see this.(see pic)

quite hidden if you dont have a ramp

toyota want £410 plus vatand need to order

so im in the search for a part to save the old girl from being a spares or repair or export sale

 

if only i would have got an explanation when i called rather than get messed about and told to look in the wrong place , it would have been much clearer on the day without need for a rant

 

but rather than just leave the rant as it was i apologise lol.

better showing this picture as a means to showing other folk what to look out for at this age of toyota

now youve checked it all out and good catch on the vacuun hose ..and sound happy its fine ... id go to another tester ... doesnt sound like you trust or know the original test centre anyway now ?

here i have a garage i absolutely trust in whitstable in kent ... AAK (rac rated) and also mots ... and they are brilliant with treating woman with the same respect as any man 

im one of the guys that thinks an mot is true value for money and safety ... because no one else with those skillfull eyes pulls and pushes everything under your car 

oh yes ... really well written post :) ... you seem to know somethings up ... id test elsewhere for a good 2nd opinion 

 

my 02 avensis 2litre disel turbo is at 320k miles and just flew threw its mot again 

£47 later they are quite sentimental about her now
