Levin BZR knocking noise

Hi guys, first time posting to this forum,

I recently bought a 1999 Corolla Levin AE111, it drives perfectly great pull from every gear but there is a constant knocking/Clicking noise coming from the back of the engine. Happens all the time at idle and under load. Wondering if this has happened anyone else and if they know what could be causing it. First thought was alternator bearing but can not find any videos of bad alternators that sound even close to it. Would a bad VVTI cam gear cause this noise? Any help much appreciated, Thanks!
