Suspension

hi guys i lowered my yaris a while back now, but it seems i can only carry 2 averaged sized ppl in the back if im lucky, otherwise it makes the noise when i go over ramps bumpy roads or turn corners.

the thing is, i thought it was just a case of doing sonething to the car like change the springs or summing when i decided i wanted it lower, so now i have a spare suspension, pretty much brand spanking new. is this right? im new at car modding etc. so was probably ripped off.

is this right or is the suspension ive been given a load of :censor:

Sounds like to me that he has lowered his car with PI Springs. They lower the yaris 40mm. He's probably riding on 15" as well???

even the 35 mm drop falls below 40 mm after time when the springs become weak.

then its time for new springs or go to 16 or 17 inch rims if thats possible on a yaris??????

what? i should get Bigger rims when the springs are weaker?? How does that work then.

I have normal 15" alloys, toyota.

Im going to drop it -35mm with jamex springs

should i be ok?

bigger rims gives you a higher chassis clearance from the road ,therefore stops the car hitting speed ramps etc .my celica had old lowering springs on with 15" rims, hit every god damn thing it went over on the sump protector and front chassis.went to 17" now and all is well. but the weight ratio of a celica on jamex springs and a yaris is a big difference , so you should be ok.

dont be i just put new jamex drop by 35mm and they were stiff as hell compared to the old ones , i dont think the weight of a yaris would weaken the springs to be honest .

they are 15inch oz racing alloys not the toyota alloys,

how much will arch wrk cost?

cut the bump stops in half though , if ur doing the job. looking at ur pics , you have loads of drop from wheel to arch. 35 mm should look well after a few weeks bedding in . you might want to put rubber strips between the first 4 coils after a while as they often sit on top of one another and can tap from time to time . i used an old bicycle inner tube sliced up.also running with a full tank of fuel drops the rear end and can lead to banging with people in the back its all extra weight.these are my experiences , may not be yours.as i own a celica not a yaris , but going the 35mm drop is better than doing 40mm for sure.

Hello guys I'm writtimg here back from Perú in South America. I have a toyota Yaris since this year. It's my first time with Toyota, I just sold my Nissan SR20 Sentra, what a great car. But I'm not disgusting with my new add, and I was working a lot in it for about the last 3 months. The first thing was change the wheels. I bought a 15" TSW with a Bridgestone Potenza 205/50 15. The next thing was the suspension, but I made a mistake, I lowered 40mm with an arospeed rings and that was to much, after one week I returned the arospeed rings and bought some argentina rings to lower to 35mm and it was really confortable to drive in bad roads and very stiff on street. The name of that suspension is AG-KIT, they made suspension for many cars running on Worlds Rally Championship.

Well now aday I put on my Yaris K&N Intake System, TRD exhaust, Arospeed strut bar, and TRD cams. The new Yaris has good Hp but not to much torque, but it's fine if you don't go under 3,500 rpm. Accually my car is a 1500cc Yaris, nad is not hatchback.

Well if you could find the AG-Kit page ask for the prices they are cheaper than others and have a very great work.

Chachi.
