Brake discs and Pads verso 2014

Hi All,

I'm after getting an upgraded or OEM like for like brake discs and Pads that are not from Toyota. Can anyone recommend a place? Like Pagid or Mintex. Any links. Toyota seems to be charger too much and I would rather be paying a little higher for better performance.

Toyota pads aren't bad - If you don't want to pay them to fit it, you can just buy the pads and DIY or get your normal garage/mechanic to do it.

Just make sure you get the actual Toyota pads/discs and not their Optifit ones as the Optifit ones are essentially their 'budget' ones.

If you think they're pricey, try sending a PM to PartsKing - He's our resident Toyota dealer guy person and can often sell stuff to Forum members at a discount. I don't find the prices that high personally; They're not as cheap as low end brakes but compare favourably with middle/premium stuff price-wise.

I've also used EBC Greenstuffs in the past - They're a bit softer but the progressive stopping power was lovely on my old Yaris D4D. Just don't believe their lies about them producing less dust; They're a lot better than generic Pagid/Textar ones but if you want low dust the Toyota Akebono ceramic pads are the best I've seen so far! (Assuming your car uses an Akebono brake system that is... usually that's only the Japanese-manufactured cars sadly - I think the French/UK/Europe produced ones use something else...)
