odd symptom at 2000rpm

If anyone could shed any light on this then it would be great before I cough up and take it to see Mr.T

I have a 2007 Avensis T180 circa 130k and it has developed a slight engine shudder around 2000rpm when accelerating, there are no warning lights and an OBD scan has revealed no logged codes.

It happens no matter what gear the car is in, under 2000 is fine and going up past say 2300 there is no shudder. There is no noticeable drop in rpm on the rev counter.

Im thinking its possibly an injector fault but would have thought there would be an engine code if this was the case?

MPG is also horrible but has been since owning the car, first diesel I have owned that drinks like its a petrol, im lucky to get 35mpg brim to brim using premium fuel and I have done the egr clean as described on the forum. I dont think this is related but i'll mention it in case someone thinks it is.

problem solved sticking SCV on the diesel pump, replaced and all o.k.,

just thought id mention it incase someone else gets this at a later date.
