Hi Guys,

I'm having trouble with my 2008 Avensis the backlight on the fan controls & cigarette lighter are not working I've already stripped the back of the controls to the circuit board to find the bulbs are attached to the circuit board & cannot be replaced also I've checked all the fuses that I could find,Also I'm getting a smear on the windscreen when it's raining & as I work nights as a taxi driver oncoming cars are blinding me with their lights any suggestions.

If the heater bulbs are the same in your post-facelift T25 as the pre-facelift then they can be replaced.

Clean the windscreen and wipers properly.

Try cleaning the window with wet newspaper all over and then coming behind that with dry newspaper, do this on inside of windscreen to and clean wiper blades to. Was told years ago a bottle of flat coca cola is excellent  for cleaning windscreen, pour it on and use the wipers,it has worked for me in the past. But the newspaper is an excellent method.

I've stripped down to the circuit board again the bulbs cant be removed from the board so it has to be a fuse but I've tried all the fuses (Puzzled)

On the old avensis there was two sets of fuses. One in the engine bay and another down by ur right knee. I'm sure u have checked for both on ur motor.
