We are new members, and find this site at the moment still very confusing, so kindly bare with us, as we learn !!

We have a 1998 Toyota HiAce, LWB, 2.4cc petrol, Automatic, with Overdrive, rear wheel drive. We found slight movement on one Rear Wheel, the ball bearing that was removed, was a Japan KOYO 6308WRS !! Dimensions I/D 40mm, O/D 90mm, width 23mm.  The nearest replacement was a German 6308-2RSR-C3,  which is a Deep Groove Ball Bearing, nice tight fitting, but still has slight movement when checked with the wheel fitted !!?? We are starting to think that the bearing we removed, may in fact not be the Original ?? As it is an import from Japan, it has no History !!?  We are hoping that some Member of the TOC maybe able to throw a little light on the problem ?? A Roller or Taper Bearing perhaps !!    Kim & Isabell

Hi...welcome.

Can only suggest you try Megazip or Toyodiy to see if you can identify the correct bearing.

You will need details of your vehicle though...Vin or Frame number..Engine references etc..to pin down  your particular model.

Here are links to both.
