New Auris Owner - Couple of Questions

Morning!

I am now the proud owner of a 2008 Toyota Auris T-Spirit. 2.0 D4D wih 62K on the clock.

Love the car so far and it's a vast improvement over my previous car. I just have a couple of question.

Is there any way to brighten the Climate Control Screens, when the lights are off?

Can you add an armrest to the centre console? It's a bit low at the moment for me.

You can buy chinese arm rest that strap ontop of the original ones, usually made of some sort of hard foam, should not obstruct the big one, but you will lose access to the smaller compartment on top.

Have you tried increasing the dash lights with the headlights off? It should be linked with center console lights, so they might also be brighter.

To do so, press the odometer button until you get to a screen with 4 bars, hold the button until you reach desired illumination, then release. It will exit automatically after few seconds.

To alter the dash illumination and access the 4 bars, the sidelights need to be turned on when one presses the odometer button.
