Touch 2 upgrade

Hi All, 

I'm new here, great forum, I hope to get some good advice from here, so thanks. 

I have a 2014 Auris with Touch screen and I just got a sat nav module but touch 2 go plus, to my surprise it does not fit, despite the part number cross reference from toyota tech saying that it would, but apparently there is two models available. Touch1 and Touch 2, but both referenced to 2012/2014 Auris model. Clearly the headunit in my car is touch 1. 

My question is, is there any way to get it to work, via cable adapters or what are my options?

Toyota has made no secret that there have been two versions of their Touch multimedia system, and I think there will be a third version in the next Auris.

Believe the Auris was fitted with the Touch 2 system from May 2014 production.

Afaik Touch & Touch 2 are incompatible. Did you buy it from a dealer or s/h? If from a dealer i would think that you can return it especially if you can show that the toyota info is wrong & you ordered it based on that. If you bought s/h I think that you are out of luck, resell ...

Thanks for that.

It was my bad as I got it from a breaker. 

I should have taken my radio out first to check the connections, as on toyota tech website said production compatibility from 2012/2015 so I thought they are all the same. 

Anyways, I will look out for a Touch and Go plus kit now, at least I have the right part numbers now..

Ah this is interesting as I've recently bought a 2015 Auris Hybrid and I was wondering about upgrading Touch 2 to Touch and Go 2. Does anyone know if my local dealer would be able to put in the upgrade or am I going to need to look into doing it myself? Sorry if it's a naive question!

Yes it can be done.......at a price

It will cost you in the region of £800

or perhaps JimmySmith & Rumdogrees can come to an arrangement ...

The actual module is plug n play afaik but you will also need a GPS  antenna & the connecting cables.
