A question about driveshafts...

Evening all,

I have a T27 Avensis 2.2 d4d 150bhp on a 58’ so I believe the first reg of the newer shape....it has a terrible shake around 50-60mph and obvipusly worse with more weight in the car. As such I have had it investigated and the drivers side driveshaft inner joint has excessive play in it....not surprising considering the car is on the road for 14+ hours 6 days of the week in South west London Suburbs and the roads are full of potholes and horrendously harsh speed bumps...

As such my question is this....

Is the drivershaft from an earlier 2.2 d4d or 2.0 d4d T25 shaped Avensis (so year-wise 2005ish/that sort of era) the same as that on my T27 later shape? I ask because they look identical but need more of an answer! Number of splines etc the same? It is the drivers side and compared with the passenger side is longer and has this thing in the middle...

No the drive shaft from the earlier T25 does not share with the later T27

You are looking for 43410-05490 which was replaced by 43410-05491
